Street Watch Africa

Report it. Track it.
Get it fixed.

Dark street? Dumpsite? Crater? Report it.

Takes about a minute. Every report is mapped, sent to the people responsible, and tracked until it is fixed. The whole city can see how long that takes.

Privacy note

Last updated 8 October 2026

Street Watch Africa is run by Africa Elysium in Lagos, Nigeria. This note explains what we collect when you use it, what the public can see, and your choices. Questions or requests: infoafricaelysium@gmail.com.

What we collect

We do not ask for your name, and you do not need an account to report.

What is public

Every report is public on the map and dashboard: the photo, location, street, problem details, status, dates and how many people reported it. Your WhatsApp number and device code are never public.

Why we use it

We use your information because you choose to submit it, and because reporting public problems serves the public interest.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your information or use it for advertising.

Photos

Please photograph the problem, not people. Avoid faces, number plates and the inside of homes. We remove or replace photos that show people or private details if we spot them or if you ask us.

How long we keep it

Reports stay public as part of the record of what was reported and fixed. We delete WhatsApp numbers within 6 months of a report being fixed, or sooner if you ask.

Your choices and rights

You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, delete your WhatsApp number, remove a photo, or review a report you made. Email infoafricaelysium@gmail.com with the report ID if you have it. We reply within 30 days. If you are not satisfied, you can complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission.

Changes

If we change this note, we will update the date at the top.
